Farmer's Markets in Clark County

Abbotsford: Tuesdays 1:30PM-5:30PM in the Lamont Lot at Highways 13 and 29.

Loyal: Tuesdays 2PM-6PM and Saturdays 8AM-Noon across from the Legion Hall.

Greenwood: Wednesdays 2PM-6PM at the George Scherer Park.

Thorp: Wednesdays Noon-5PM in the Foward Financial Bank Parking Lot.

Owen: Saturdays 8AM-Noon at the Mill Pond Park Shelter.

Neillsville: Saturdays 8AM-Noon at the Sniteman Town Square.

Stanley: Saturdays 8AM-2PM at the Stanley Soo Park.

Dairy Breakfasts

June is Dairy Month - and across the state farms are hosting Dairy Breakfasts.

In Clark County each Saturday this month you can find a delicious way to start your weekend: June 2nd in Granton and Abbotsford, June 9th in Neillsville and Lubin, June 16th in Loyal, June 23rd in Stetsonville, and June 30th in Greenwood.

And on Wednesday June 19th there will be the Dairy Month Recipe Contest.  This year's theme is "Bars".

Busy Weekend in Clark County

Summer may be gone, but there is still plenty of fun in Clark County.  Check out these events this weekend.

September 7th-9th is the 62nd Annual Granton Fall Festival. Family fun all weekend including a carnival, softball tournament, bed races, flower show, mini rod pull, tractor pull, food and music. Don't miss the Fall Fest Classic Car Cruise Saturday at 5PM or the Mile Long Parade on Sunday.

Saturday September 8th is Indian Summer Fest in Owen. Check out handmade arts and crafts, homemade baked goods, farmers market, flea market, antiques, quilts from 9AM-3PM. 

Also on Saturday is the Greenwood Street Dance and Car Show from 3PM-Midnight.  This is a free event. There will be food and inflatables for the kids.

Sunday September 9th is the Annual Loyal Car and Motorcycle Show in the American Legion parking lot from 10AM-3PM. Entries will receive awards and there will be cash giveaways, a raffle and silent auctions, food, beverages, art show, music and inflatables.

Remember schools are back in session, please watch for buses and school zones.

Dairy Events in Clark County

June is Dairy Month and it's time to celebrate in Clark County!  This month is filled with yummy breakfasts in many communities.

June 3rd - ABBOTSFORD DAIRY BREAKFAST - 7AM to Noon at the Ken Christensen Family Farm, W316 Oak Rd in Colby. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, ice cream, beverage. $5/adults $3/kids 6-12 Free/kids 5 & under.

June 3rd - GRANTON DAIRY BREAKFAST- 7AM to 12:30PM at Romadka View Holsteins, W2886 Tree Rd in Granton. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, ice cream, beverage. Tickets: $5/adults $3/kids 6-12 Free/kids 5 & under.

June 10th - NEILLSVILLE DAIRY BREAKFAST - 7AM to Noon at Jim and Walter Wetzel Farm, W5147 Granton Rd in Neillsville. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, ice cream, beverage. Tickets:$5/adults $3/kids 6-12 Free/kids 5 & under.

June 10th - THORP/STANLEY-BOYD DAIRY BREAKFAST - 7AM to 1:00PM at Steve and Cindy Derks, 115th Ave in Stanley. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, Nolechek's sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, ice cream, beverage. $5/adults $3/kids 6-12 Free/kids 5 & under.

June 17th - LOYAL DAIRY BREAKFAST -  7AM to 12:30PM at the Jim Froeba Farm, W3637 Twenty Six Rd in Loyal. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, ice cream, beverage. $5/adults $3/kids 6-12 Free/kids 5 & under.

Sharing at Christmas

Share a meal with old friends and new at the Community Christmas Dinner at the York Center United Methodist Church in the Town of York.  Dinner will be served December 25th beginning at Noon, followed by cards and games.

December 29th share life by giving blood at the Red Cross Blood Drive at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen from 12:30PM to 5:30PM. You can make an appointment on the Red Cross website Blood Donation Appointment but walk-ins are always welcome.

Museums in Clark County

If you are a history buff, or like to revisit the past, Clark County has several museums showing life as it was.

These museums are only open during the summer months, so take some time on the weekend to discover Wisconsin's roots.

The 1897 Clark County Jail Museum - 215 East 5th Street, Neillsville.
This is a beautiful "castle-like" house filled with Victorian furnishings, that was the home to the Sheriff with a 3 story cell block attached to the house. Open Sundays from 1PM-4PM or by appointment. 1897 Clark County Jail

The Reed School - US Hwy 10 and Cardinal Ave, Neillsville.
A one room school house from the early 1900s. Open weekends from 10AM-4PM. Reed School

The Rural Arts Museum - Colby.
This museum houses a the original Colby train depot, as well as the history of Colby cheese and much more. Open Sundays Memorial Day to Labor Day and by appointment.

Bransitter Museum - 600 South Main Street, Greenwood.
Step back in time and walk down the wooden sidewalks through life in 1900. Many collections of toys, tools and photographs. Open Dairy Days Sunday, then the first Sunday of June, July and August. Bransitter Museum

Railroad Museum, Loyal.
The history of the Village of Loyal. Open the first Sunday of July, August, and September and Sunday of Loyal Corn Fest or by appointment. The Old Depot

Tuft's Mansion Museum - 26 Hewett Street, Neillsville.
This beautiful home is not only a museum but a Bed and Breakfast. Open Sundays 2PM-4PM. Tuft's Mansion

Stanley Area Historical Society Museum - 228 Helgerson Street, Stanley.
You can find the history of Clark Counties Northwestern Townships. Open Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day, Sundays only in September. Stanley History
