Memorial Day

Here are some events for Memorial Day, May 26th, in Clark County.

In Neillsville American Legion Post 73 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:30AM at O'Neil Creek Bridge. Lunch to follow at Noon.

In Thorp the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony begins at the American Legion Hall and ends at Veterans Park.

At The Highground in Neillsville the 4th Annual Fun Run Motorcycle Ride with four starting locations will be held, followed by the Memorial Day Ceremony at 1PM.

Festival of the Wheel

Dar's Midwest Time Trial Championship (Festival of the Wheel) will be held this Saturday, May 3rd, in Willard. There will be one 16 mile loop bike race for road/mountain/tandem/recumbent bikes and a 7 mile race for roller blades, roller skis, wheel chair, or other non-motorized wheeled devices. Registration begins at 10AM at the Willard Community Center with racing starting at Noon.

Art Tour and Old Time Music

April 26th and 27th is the weekend for the Clark County "Spring into the Arts" Clark County Studio Tour and the Old Time Music Festival.

Visit studios across Clark County and meet 28 local artists and see their works. Tour hours are Saturday 9AM-6PM and Sunday 10AM-5PM.  Get the brochure with location listings here Spring into the Arts

Central Wisconsin Horse Sale

Vintage Snowmobile Show

The Neillsville-Granton Trailbusters will be hosting their 8th Annual Antique Snowmobile Show Saturday March 15th starting at 10AM at the Clark County Fairground in Neillsville. The event is for sleds 1985 and older and will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Free for spectators, lunch will be available.

Yeti Fest

It's Yeti Fest Winter Festival weekend at Levis Mound Trail.  Winter camping, group rides, bonfires and fun in the snow today through Sunday.

Winter Carnival

Next weekend head to Neillsville - it's time for Winter Carnival!

Events begin with the Miss Winter Carnival Pageant Thursday February 20th at the Neillsville High School Auditorium at 6:30PM. Friday is the Variety and Comedy Show also at the Neilsville High School starting at 6:30PM.

Snowmobile Drag Races

The 4th Annual Thorp Sno-Raiders Snowmobile Drag Races will be Saturday February 1st at the Silver Dollar Bar in Thorp.  Registration is from 9AM-11:30AM with racing at Noon.

Christmastime Fun

Festivities for Christmas - hope you can brave the snow and enjoy the season.

Head to Stanley Saturday December 21st for a free movie and visit from Santa at the Stanley Theater; showings at 11:30AM and 2:30PM.

Also on Saturday have Breakfast with Santa at the O-W Vets Club in Owen from 8:30AM-11:30AM.

The Christmas Friendship Dinner will be held Wednesday Christmas Day 11AM-1PM at American Legion Post 54 Marshfield. Enjoy ham and turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Reservations are appreciated 715-384-9697.

Christmas Across Clark County

Christmas celebrations are happening across the County this weekend.

Thorp - Today is the Annual Thorp Area Christmas Parade at 6:30PM followed by visits with Santa, Christmas carolers and family fun in Yellowstone Park.

Abbotsford - On Saturday don't miss the Christmas Parade at 7PM. Then on Sunday visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 1PM-4PM at City Hall.

Stanley - December 7th is the Holiday Festival at the D.R. Moon Memorial Library from 1PM-4PM with goodie bags for the kids, cookie decorating and more. Also on Saturday is the Christmas Event at Holy Family Church Hall with Bingo beginning at 2:30PM.

Neillsville - Saturday is the Open House and Tree Lighting with downtown businesses holding open houses during the day and Tree Lighting in Town Square at 6PM.

Friday November 22nd is the Annual Deer Hunters Buffet and Gun Raffle at American Legion Post 73 in Neillsville 4PM to 9PM and the 5th Annual Christmas Parade in Thorp.

Friday November 29th Owen is hosting the Downtown Christmas Lighting at 5PM.

Saturday November 30th American Legion Post 73 in Neillsville will be hosting a Deer Hunters Steakfeed 5PM-8PM and Greenwood will hold the Park Tree Lighting at the City Park at Dusk with Santa, sleigh rides and hot chocolate and cider.

Fall Festivals

Summertime may be coming to an end, but that just means it's Fall Festival time!  Visit these events in Clark County for some weekend fall fun.

September 6th-8th is the Granton Fall Festival, the "biggest 'little show' in Wisconsin".  Enjoy the carnival, games, craft show, a flea market, dances, flower show, bed races, mini-rod pull, tractor pull, music, softball tournament, and a mile long parade.  Sponsored by the Granton FFA, the Granton Rotary and the Granton Firemen.

The Ride to Remember at the Highground

Motorcycles will be heard across Clark County this weekend at The Ride to Remember at The Highground in Neillsville.

Friday August 16th the Opening Ceremony will begin at 5:30PM and include the reading of names of those killed in action from Wisconsin. Saturday August 17th there will be breakfast at the VFW and the ride begins at 11AM.
